____

Usage

This device is a versatile and high-precision tool that supports a wide range of applications in the TSN Ethernet domain.

Its use cases can be broadly categorized into two main areas:

  1. Signal Analysis/TAP Device:
The TSN Box acts as a transparent connection in existing Ethernet networks, enabling detailed analysis. It features a unique DUT-sync capability that precisely correlates packet timestamps and network-based presentation timestamps. Furthermore, it can timestamp other inputs like SMA events or digital/analog audio inputs, facilitating comprehensive analysis using TSN Tools or Wireshark.

Advanced analysis functions of the TSN Box 3.2 A²B:
In addition to the capabilities of the standard TSN Box, the TSN Box 3.2 A²B stands out with its integrated analysis/TAP component. This enables the TSN Box 3.2 A²B to comprehensively record traffic across two independent A²B buses. Significantly, it has the advanced functionality to seamlessly correlate A²B traffic with all other received data.

  2. Signal Generation:
The TSN Box is equipped with various features for generating time-sensitive signals, useful for RESTNet emulation or in-depth testing. It supports functionalities like gPTP master/slave, AVB audio and video, cyclic Qbv traffic, SOME/IP, and time-sensitive PCAPNG replay, easily handling complex scenarios.

Advanced signal generation functions of the TSN Box 3.2 A²B:
The TSN A²B Box not only comes equipped with two analysis tapping/listening ports but also offers an additional pair of A²B ports to emulate either a standard or high power A²B main or subordinate node. Both node types can insert and capture data streams as necessary to develop and test complex A²B networking environments.

TSN Systems' TSN-Box represents a significant leap forward in time-sensitive networking. By offering measurement and simulation solutions to enable precise synchronization, low latency, traffic shaping and policing and high reliability, it addresses the critical needs of modern automotive design, industrial networking verification and quality control.

As industries embrace the network transformation, the TSN-Box stands as a testament to the potential of advanced networking technologies to revolutionize automotive and industrial operations.
